Cohasset Police Mourn Loss Of Officer Mark Jenkins
Officer Mark Jenkins collapsed while out to dinner with his coworkers, the Cohassett Police Department shared.

COHASSET, MA — Cohasset police officer Mark Jenkins died suddenly Friday, the police department confirmed via Facebook.
According to the department, Jenkins collapsed while he was with his co-workers late Friday afternoon. CPR and life-saving measures were performed, but unsuccessful, they added.
"While our hearts are filled with sorrow, they are also filled with love, as we help Mark's wife and children with final arrangements. Please say a prayer for the Jenkins family."

Jenkins was assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division, working as a police computer forensics expert, and was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard's investigative service.
A wake is set to take place at the McDonald/Keohane Funeral Home on Main Street in Weymouth on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A law enforcement walk-through will happen a half hour before the wake.
The funeral is planned for Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Clare Parish in Liberty Street in Braintree a burial will follow with full Coast Guard honors at St. Patrick's Cemetery on Central Street in Rockland.
