Derby Street Panera Bread Sells Cookies to Benefit Boston Children's Hospital

The proceeds from Easter Egg shaped cookies at Panera Bread will benefit Boston Children's Hospital.

Boston Bread, the Panera Bread franchisee that owns Hingham's Derby Street location, is selling Easter Egg shaped cookies for “Cookies for Kids!”

During the campaign, which runs from March 18 through March 31, Boston Bread will donate 10 cents from each of the frosted shortbread cookies sold, directly to Boston Children’s Hospital.

The local franchisee, which owns 16 area Paneras, has donated $175,279 to Boston Children's Hospital and other charities since 2011. The participating stores can be found at www.panera-boston.com.

“We value the partnership we have with Boston Children's Hospital and are proud to be supporting one of the top pediatric healthcare facilities in the world,” said Mike Hamra, President and CEO of Hamra Enterprises, via a press release. “Their mission is inspiring and makes a difference for the children who are treated by the hospital.  We are thankful for the efforts and financial support of our employees and customers.”
