Derby Street Shops Get A Little Taste Of The City
New-American cuisine with Asian flavors come together at Boston's Shōjō's sister restaurant now open at Derby Street Shops.

HINGHAM, MA — Derby Street shops welcome Brian Moy and the team behind Shōjō in Boston's Chinatown as they introduce their first suburban restaurant and bar concept, Nomai, which is now open for all to enjoy.
Nomai will offer new-American cuisine with a creative Asian flair in a modern space in Hingham filled with Japanese maple trees called Nomai trees.
Snug between Whole Foods and Lululemon at the Derby Street Shops, Nomai will bring the same fun and lively atmosphere Moy's Chinatown spots are famous for but in a more refined setting.

A wide array of raw bar, snack, vegetable, and appetizer offerings are designed for sharing, while traditional protein options allow for a more conventional, coursed meal. Some of the dishes include Tuna Spring Roll with Daikon and Sprouts, Grandma Hua's Handmade Carrot Noodles with Beef Bourguignon, and Steamed Sea Bass with Crispy Rice, Miso, Nameko and Bok Choy.

Like its sister restaurant, Shōjō, Nomai will boast one of the region's most extensive Japanese whiskey portfolios, showcased both straight and in cocktails.

Nomai's creative bar director Justin Park offers riffs on classic cocktails like the Nomai Old Fashioned and Gogo 75, along with creative originals like The Matcha Maker with Makers Mark Bourbon, Crème de Menthe, and Matcha Tea Powder.
"We feel so honored to work with Brian Moy to bring Nomai, his first suburban restaurant, to life here at Derby Street," says Caroline Hessberg, General Manager of Derby Street Shops. "We knew he would bring a city-like destination to Hingham through his menu of unique, craveable dishes, and extensive bar program unlike anything else on the South Shore."
Nomai will open for brunch and lunch service in the months ahead. A 50-seat patio and indoor-outdoor bar will launch in the warmer months. To make a reservation, visit OpenTable.
Nomai will be open for dinner seven days a week from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
