Elderly Hingham Man Killed After Tree Falls On Trailer: DA
Officials said a tree fell on a small travel trailer Monday morning while a man, later identified as 89-year-old Robert Horky, was inside.
HINGHAM, MA — An elderly Hingham man died Monday morning after high winds and rain caused a tree to collapse on the trailer he was inside, according to officials.
Police responded to the trailer around 9:47 a.m. after a 911 caller reported hearing a large tree fall outside of a workplace at 99 Industrial Way, the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office said in a news release.
The caller reported that the tree had fallen on a small travel trailer nearby while a man, later identified as Robert Horky, 89, was inside.

Horky was extricated from the trailer but had suffered severe head trauma and died at the hospital, officials said.
Horky's death is under active investigation, according to officials, who noted that there was heavy rainfall and high wind gusts in the area immediately before and during the incident.
