False Bomb Threat Under Investigation
The caller disguised their voice while calling in the threat.

State and local police cleared a Hingham business of threat after a caller reported that a bomb would go off Tuesday afternoon.
Hingham police were dispatched to 99 Industrial Park Rd. at 12:04 p.m. after employees reported receiving a threat that a bomb would go off at 12:45 p.m., Sgt. Steven Dearth said in a statement.
"The employee said the caller had attempted to disguise their voice. Officers assisted in evacuating the business and checked the surrounding areas," Dearth said. "Hingham Fire Department personnel remained nearby on standby.
"After verifying all employees were clear of the building, Officers contacted the State Police Bomb Squad for assistance including a K9 trained in explosives detection. The building was searched using the specialty trained K9 and found no devices were found."
The scene was clear by 2 p.m. The incident remains under investigation. Dearth said that reporting a false bomb threat is a felony punishable by up to 20 years in state prison.
