Feds Allege Bare Cove Park Problems, Hingham Officials Respond

Hingham officials say the issues are overstated, the Globe reports.

Hingham officials say a letter from the US Department of the Interior alleging mishandling of Bare Cove Park has been addressed and the problems were mainly the result of misunderstandings.

The Boston Globe reported Tuesday that the issue is related to "a piece of parkland known as 'dagger parcel,' which was purchased by developer Thomas Hastings for the Back River condominium development. The parcel abuts Bare Cove Park, which the US Department of interior deeded to the town in 1972."
