Hingham Man Faces Child Porn Charges

Police conducted a search of Anthony J. Buccitelli's home Friday morning.

HINGHAM, MA — A 70-year-old Hingham man faces child pornography charges following a two-month investigation.

Anthony J. Buccitelli was arraigned in Hingham District Court Friday. He pleaded not guilty to distributing/disseminating material of a child in a sexual act and two counts of possession of child pornography. He is free on personal recognizance with the condition that he have no unsupervised contact with any children under the age of 18, according to the Hingham Police Department.

The department's investigation into Buccitelli began June 1 after Cohassett Police learned that child pornography was allegedly uploaded in Hingham. Police obtained a search warrant on Aug. 1, with a search of Buccitelli's Tower Brook Road home taking place Friday morning.

Several items were seized from the home for further examination. Police did not expand on what was recovered.

State Police and Cohasset Police assisted with the search.

The investigation remains ongoing, police said.

Buccitelli is due to return to court Sept. 20.
