Hingham Nurse Who Treated Coconut Grove Victims Passes

Natalie King Pucko of Hingham was 96.

A registered nurse who was among those that treated victims of the infamous Coconut Grove fire in Boston died at age 96 last week.

Natalie King Pucko was living at Linden Ponds Continuing Care after moving to Hingham in 1967, according to the Boston Herald. She was raised in Taunton and also lived in Weymouth and Braintree.

The Coconut Grove fire killed 492 people in 1942. 

Funeral services were held Saturday at Resurrection Church in Hingham, the Herald reported. Burial was in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
