HINGHAM, MA — Hingham Police are seeking the suspect after an armed robbery at Richdale Food Shops on Lincoln Street Wednesday afternoon, the department said in a news release. The robbery happened at around 2 p.m., when the suspect entered the store and flashed a semi-automatic pistol at the clerk and demanded money, according to police. The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 6'0" tall, with a beard. He was wearing a New York Yankees hat, a black jacket with a yellow zipper, black sweatpants, and a surgical mask, police said. Police added that he took the money and fled the store. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Hingham Police Detectives at 781-749-1212 or email detectives@hpd.org. Anonymous tips can also be submitted at hpd.org.
