Hingham Police Seek Suspect After Armed Robbery

The robbery happened around 2 p.m. Wednesday, when police say the suspect entered a store and flashed a semi-automatic pistol at the clerk.

The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 6’0” tall, with a beard. He was wearing a New York Yankees hat, a black jacket with a yellow zipper, black sweatpants, and a surgical mask, police said.

HINGHAM, MA — Hingham Police are seeking the suspect after an armed robbery at Richdale Food Shops on Lincoln Street Wednesday afternoon, the department said in a news release.

The robbery happened at around 2 p.m., when the suspect entered the store and flashed a semi-automatic pistol at the clerk and demanded money, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white man, approximately 6’0” tall, with a beard. He was wearing a New York Yankees hat, a black jacket with a yellow zipper, black sweatpants, and a surgical mask, police said.

Police added that he took the money and fled the store.
