Husband Of Missing Cohasset Woman Arrested: Authorities
Brian Walshe is accused of misleading police after Ana Walshe, a 39-year-old mother of three, disappeared New Year's Day, authorities said.

COHASSET, MA — The husband of a Cohasset woman who was last seen New Year’s Day has been arrested after misleading police who were investigating her disappearance, authorities said.
Brian Walshe, 46, of Cohasset, is charged with misleading the police investigation into the disappearance of Walshe’s wife, 39-year-old Ana Walshe, according to a news release from the Norfolk district attorney that was distributed Sunday.
Ana Walshe, a mother of three who works in property management, planned to take a rideshare service around 4 a.m. Jan. 1 to Logan Airport before traveling to her second home in Washington D.C., but she never boarded a plane, police said Friday. She was reported missing Wednesday, according to police.

There was no sign of Ana Walshe at her D.C. townhouse and her vehicle in D.C. was in its usual place, police said, adding her phone had been off since Jan. 1 and her debit and credit cards had not been used in the intervening days.
Police said Friday that Brian Walshe was sleeping when Ana Walshe left the home the day she disappeared. She was last seen in the early morning hours of Jan. 1, police have said.

The search of a Peabody trash and recycling center on Monday night was connected to the investigation into missing Cohasset mother Ana Walshe, according to multiple television reports.
“During the course of that investigation, police developed probable cause to believe that her husband Brian Walshe had committed the crime of misleading police investigators,” Sunday’s news release said.
Brian Walshe is expected to be arraigned Monday morning in Quincy District Court.
