Independent Movie Night, Garden Club at Hingham Library
5 Things: A run-down of events and other useful information for your life in Hingham on Oct. 16, 2013.

1. Hingham Public Library hosts Independent Movie Night from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Whiton Room. This evening's movie is Unfinished Song, another prize-winner from the people who brought you Quartet and The Sapphires.
"Cantankerous but doting husband Arthur does not share his wife Marion's passion for performing. While she is happy to sing her heart out with the unconventional local choir, Arthur would prefer to hide himself away and complain about how embarrassing it all is."
Rated PG-13. 94 minutes.
2. The Garden Club of Hingham meets in the Whiton Room earlier in the day from 10 a.m to 12 p.m.
3. The Community Preservation Committee meets at 7 p.m. at Town Hall.
