A 32-year-old Air Force Sergeant from Rockland is receiving a police escort to South Shore Baptist Church Thursday morning. The ceremony for Brett Carnathan is at 11 a.m., followed by burial with Military Honors at the Spring Lake Cemetery in Rockland. Carnathan passed away on Oct. 27, according to <a href="http://www.tributes.com/show/Brett-Carnathan-96631522" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">his obituary on Tributes.com</a>. A 2000 graduate of Rockland High School, he joined the Air Force in 2003 and served in Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. "Brett was a very avid and enthusiastic Boston sports fan. He loved the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and Celtics equally. He also enjoyed watching college sports. Brett enjoyed life to the fullest and his smile brought joy into the lives of everyone he knew," according to his obituary.
