UPDATE: Lockdown at Foster School After Gun Seen

UPDATE 3:40 p.m.: Hingham Police: "CONFIRMED that the youths located with air soft (not real) gun in woods behind Foster Elementary Scool. Lockdown ENDING. All safe."

"Some Officers still are at Foster School conducting follow up but no safety or danger concerns now at scene."

Hingham police locked down the Foster School Thursday afternoon after a report came in of a male seen in the woods with a gun and a mask.

Police reported on Twitter that the school and everyone is safe and that it was an air soft gun, not a real weapon. 

"Officers speaking with witness & youths with air soft (not real) waiting to confirm this was person seen with gun & mask. Lockdown remains," the department Tweeted as an update just before 3:30 p.m.
