Man Exposed Himself To Woman At Hingham Library, Police Say

Police say a man flashed his genitals at a woman sitting at a table in the library.

HINGHAM, MA — Police are investigating a report of a male flasher at the Hingham Public Library.

Police say they received a report of a man who exposed himself in front of a patron inside the library Monday afternoon. The patron, a 29-year-old woman, immediately left the area and reported the incident to a staff member. When the patron returned to get her belongings, the man was gone.

She told police that the incident took place while she was at a table on the second floor, near the oversized book section at about 1:30 p.m. Police say the man was sitting on the ground near several bookcases when he showed the woman his genitals. He didn't speak to the woman, the victim said.

The man is described as white, approximately 30-40 years old, and wearing an orange and yellow plaid short sleeve shirt.
