Over 300 Turn Out for Plymouth River School Fundraiser
The fundraiser at The Range Bar & Grille in Hingham also honored the principal of Plymouth River Elementary School.

From the Range Bar and Grille: Hingham Public School parents and supporters packed The Range to honor Plymouth River Elementary School Principal Charles Cormier’s 23 years of service and raised a record amount for the school.
“It was such a great event,” said Will O’Connell, a Hingham resident who owns The Range. “I love this community and I love to give back. This was a fun night and it’s an honor to be able to give back to the public schools.”
The “Party on the Patio” event had a school theme and was held at The Range’s outdoor seating area, which overlooks its 97-bay golf range. Parents were picked up at their kids’ bus stops in school buses and shuttled to and from the event, which was the school’s annual charity fundraiser. Attendees raised money through donations and raffles and the event broke all previous records for the school’s fundraisers. Each parent was given a goodie bag to go home with that included a bag lunch with a cheeseburger and popcorn.

“Kids and teachers need our support to make sure they have all the resources they need to make our schools the best they can be. We’re happy we were able to help out in our own small way,” O’Connell said.
Plymouth River School parent and event organizer Kerry Grogan said: “I’m so proud of this team effort and that we partnered with such an amazing venue. The team and parents took this great local fundraiser to the next level by incorporating mobile bidding, which was one of the many reasons we reached record gross sales.”
