Pile-Up Crash In Hingham Leaves Three Injured

After one car stopped in traffic, another car hit it before a third slammed into the second one, causing it to slide underneath, police say.

HINGHAM, MA — Police are looking to investigate the cause of a 3 car crash in Hingham Thursday that left all three drivers injured.

Crews reported to the scene near Route 228 and High Street to find the back of a Nissan Altima on top of a Volkswagen.

Hingham police say the first car stopped in traffic, causing the car behind it to hit it, then the Volkswagon crashed into the Nissan at a higher rate of speed, causing it to ride underneath it.

All three people were hurt, but none of the injuries were life-threatening, Hingham Police said in a tweet.
