Plymouth County District Attorney's Office: Brockton 17 Year-Old Charged In Murder
Brown was held without bail and is next scheduled to appear in court on March 17.

BROCKTON – A Brockton 17 year-old has been arraigned on a murder charge in connection with the fatal shooting of a city man, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz has announced.

Tashawn Brown, 17, of Brockton, was arraigned today in Brockton District Court and pleaded not guilty to one count of murder for the fatal shooting of Fabio Andrade-Monteiro, 22. Brown was held without bail and is next scheduled to appear in court on March 17.
On February 10, 2022 just after 10 p.m., Brockton Police received multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting at 102 Ash Street. Upon arrival, police located a male victim suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital where he was pronounced dead just after midnight.

Brockton Police contacted Massachusetts State Police and an investigation commenced. Police interviewed witnesses, reviewed surveillance video, and examined cell phone records. As a result of the investigation, State Police and Brockton Police this morning sought and received an arrest warrant for murder for Brown. He was placed under arrest at his home in Brockton at approximately 6 a.m. today.
The homicide investigation is active and ongoing by Massachusetts State Police and Brockton Police.
