Shark Travels Feet Away From Hingham Paddleboarder
It was a "close encounter of a peaceful kind," quipped the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy.

ORLEANS, MA — It was a scene that no one wants to experience, but thankfully this shark was no Jaws.
Photos taken by a drone operated by Cody DeGroff Sunday show a paddleboarder on Nauset Beach only feet away from a great white shark. The paddleboarder, identified as 54-year-old Roger Freeman of Hingham by the Cape Cod Times, said that he had no idea he was so close to the shark until a person who knew DeGroff showed Freeman a photo of how close he came.
It was a "close encounter of a peaceful kind," quipped the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy.

‘Close encounter of a peaceful kind.’ Yesterday morning Cody DeGroff (@Cdegroff10) captured these amazing photos of a white shark near a SUP just north of Nauset public Beach. The paddle boarder did not see the shark. pic.twitter.com/DQCeM3w7nf

Don't expect this to keep Freedman from going out of the water, he said that he may go out again.
