Whitey Bulger's Girlfriend Living With His Family In Hingham

Catherine Greig, the longtime girlfriend of the late James "Whitey" Bulger, is living with the mobster's family in Hingham as her home confinement winds down, The Boston Globe reported.

Greig, 68, is living in a home owned Billy Bulger's daughter and son-in-law. Billy Bulger was the president of the Massachusetts Senate for nearly two decadees.

Greig was sentenced to eight years in prison for helping Bulger on the run. She pleaded guilty to identity fraud and harboring a fugitive in 2012, and pleaded guilty to criminal contempt four years later after refusing to cooperate in the case against Bulger.

She arrived back in Massachusetts in June and was set to stay at a halfway house in Barnstable County.

Bulger, an FBI informant and longtime boss of the Winter Hill Gang, was one of America's most wanted criminals when he went on the lam in the '90s. The 89-year-old was serving life sentences for 11 murders and a slew of other charges when he was beaten to death in his cell in a West Virginia prison last fall.

The Wall Street Journal last week reported Bulger's family is filing a wrongful-death claim against the federal government after the mobster was murdered in prison last year.
