A Letter to Holliston From Your New Local Editor

Holliston residents,

It is my pleasure to introduce myself to you as the new Local Editor of Holliston Patch. 

My name is Justin Saglio, a recent University of Massachusetts graduate, and I will be leading operations here at Patch. Expect to see me in the coming weeks as I gather news and learn more about the town of Holliston to bring you the highest quality news I can. 

As a recent graduate of the University of Massachusetts, my employment with Patch is my first full-time work in the journalism field -- or in any field for that matter. My background includes doing freelance blogging and writing for the web as well as writing for print newspapers. 

Throughout my education, I was interested in using multimedia tools to tell stories. I shot photos and produced video in order to use the web to the best of its ability to bring news to the reader. I expect to use those same multimedia tools to bring stories to Holliston residents. 

Now that you know a little about me, the easy part is over. From here I can begin what I came here to do -- learn about the town of Holliston and provide its residents with quality news, and I can't wait to get started.
