C&R Hot Dogs To Hold Fundraiser For Teacher's Kidney Transplant
Owners hope to aid the recovery of the beloved HHS art teacher.

On Tuesday, Dec. 13, C&R Hot Dogs will do much more than feed hungry customers, as a HHS teacher will get some much-needed support with every lunch sold.
Doug Lack, a Holliston High School art teacher has battled an illness for over 20 years that now has him needing a life-saving kidney transplant.
Carl Damigella, a former kidney recipient, hopes a fundraiser at his Washington Street business, , can help to offset some of the costs surrounding Lack's treatment.

"We don't think we can do much to help with the actual surgery cost, but we hope we can help make up some of the pay he will lose, since he only has so many sick days to give up," Damigella said.
The recovery time for Damigella when he received a kidney in 2006 was over a month, he said.

With every lunch special sold on Dec. 13, the popular after-school spot will donate $1 to benefit Doug Lack.
"Were not sure how many we will sell," Theresa Lamkin, a C&R employee said. "But we are hoping the kids will help us out, he is a very loved teacher out there at the High School."
Upcoming events to benefit Lack include an arts exhibition in January, where student and professional artists can sell pieces in support of the beloved teacher.
