'Cash Mob' Supports Holliston Business With Shopping Frenzy
Dozens of Hollston residents gathered at Kamala Boutique to boost the shop's sales and support small business.
With cash in hand, Holliston residents streamed into Kamala Boutique Saturday morning eager to bring a boost in sales to one of the town's many small businesses.
"This is fantastic and humbling," Kate Lamontagne, owner of Kamala Botique, said as shoppers milled around the shop. "It's usually slow on a Saturday morning, maybe we would get four sales."
Margaret Bishop organized the event in an effort to help the small businesses that sometimes have trouble competing with national chain stores.

Self-described as community-oriented, Bishop used Facebook to bring around 40 area residents to Kamala Botique to spend $20 in the store.
"These shops are a big part of Holliston and they need the community," Bishop said.
