Emilee Gagnon Remembered as 'Walking Piece of Art Work'

The Holliston resident who died Monday is being remembered by her teachers at Westfield State University.

Emilee Gagnon, who was killed in a car accident in Ohio while on a solo charity bike ride across the country, was remembered as a wonderful student with positive energy.

“Emilee was literally a walking piece of art work herself,” Westfield art department chair Jamie Wainright said in a press release from Westfield State University. “She wore vibrant beautiful clothes and did a lot of creative, colorful things with her hair. She was a wonderful, wonderful student who provided a lot of positive energy, joy and talent to the art department. She will be missed.”

Emilee majored in Art and minored in both French and Ethnic and Gender studies. She left an indelible mark on the faculty, staff and students of the Westfield State art department and in the Honors Program with whom she regularly interacted, according to the release. A piece of Gagnon's original artwork is on display in Westfield State's Honors Center, which is  located in Mod Hall.

Emilee Gagnon, 21 of Holliston, was killed in an accident involving an SUV while on a charity ride for multiple sclerosis across the country.
