Fire Log: Officials Give Mutual Aid to Sherborn
A look back at Holliston Fire Department responses Oct. 7 through Oct. 13

Friday, October 7
1:16 p.m.: Chief Michael Cassidy, Deputy Jim Moore, Rescue 1, Engine 3, the ambulance and paramedics from Events EMS responded to a motor vehicle crash on Ashland Street. After being extricated from his vehicle by firefighters using the Jaws of Life extrication tool, one patient was transported to a landing zone at the Warren Conference Center in Ashland. That patient was then transported by Boston MedFlight to the Massachusetts General Hospital. A second patient from the crash was transported by the backup ambulance to Milford Regional Medical Center.
3:20 p.m.: Chief Cassidy and Deputy Jim Moore investigated an alarm activation on Bartzak Drive.

5:28 p.m.: The ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Washington Street. One individual was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.
6:20 p.m.: The ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Washington Street. One individual was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.

8:48 p.m.: The ambulance and paramedics from Events EMS responded to a medical emergency on David Street. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.
Saturday, October 8
3:54 a.m.: The ambulance and paramedics from Events EMS responded to a medical emergency on Shea Drive. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.
9:13 a.m.: The ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Norfolk Street. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Natick.
9:48 a.m.: The backup ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Everett Street. A Sherborn resident was transported to Children’s Hospital in Boston.
3:27 p.m.: Weekend Duty Officer Deputy Jim Moore investigated a report of illegal burning on Meadowbrook Lane. The resident was advised of the Open Burning Regulations in the commonwealth of Massachusetts.
9:10 p.m.: The ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Cranberry Lane. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.
9:59 p.m.: Chief Cassidy, Weekend Duty Officer Deputy Chief Jim Moore, Rescue 1, Engine 3, the backup ambulance and paramedics from Events EMS were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on Central Street near the Millis town line. One patient was transported by the Millis ambulance to a landing zone at the Millis High School for transport by Boston MedFlight to the Massachusetts General Hospital. Rescue 1 remained on scene to provide auxiliary lighting for the Holliston Police and the Crash Analysis and Reconstruction Division of the Massachusetts State Police.
Sunday, October 9
6:00 p.m.: The ambulance and paramedics from Events EMS responded to a motor vehicle crash on Adam Wheeler Lane. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.
Monday, October 10
2:02 p.m.: Weekend Duty Officer Deputy Jim Moore investigated alarm trouble on Washington Street.
6:10 p.m.: The ambulance and paramedics from Events EMS responded to a medical emergency on Kathryn Lane. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.
6:25 p.m.: Deputy Jim Moore investigated a cooking fire on Norland Street.
11:17 p.m.: The ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Summer Street. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.
Tuesday, October 11
5:00 a.m.: Chief Cassidy responded mutual aid to Ashland for a 2nd alarm fire on Main Street. Engine 3 also responded mutual aid to Ashland at 5:07 am, providing station coverage at their Cedar Street Fire Station while crews from Hopkinton, Milford, Sherborn and Southborough assisted at the scene.
8:40 a.m.: Chief Cassidy and the ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Winter Street. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.
12:09 p.m.: Chief Cassidy investigated an alarm activation on Washington Street.
5:15 p.m.: Chief Cassidy and the ambulance responded to a motor vehicle crash on Morton Street. A signed patient refusal was obtained.
Wednesday, October 12
2:28 a.m: Chief Cassidy, Engine 2 and Engine 3 responded to a dryer fire on Highland Street.
5:53 a.m.: Chief Cassidy investigated an alarm activation on Prentice Street.
6:09 a.m.: The ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Marked Tree Road. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.
10:28 a.m.: Chief Cassidy, Deputy Jim Moore, the ambulance and paramedics from Events EMS responded to a medical emergency on High Street. A Milford resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.
12:19 p.m.: Deputy Jim Moore investigated an odor on Highland Street.
6:45 p.m.: Deputy Jim Moore investigated an alarm trouble on Washington Street.
10:35 p.m.: The ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Washington Street. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Natick.
Thursday, October 13
9:50 a.m.: The ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Oak Street. A resident was transported to Milford Regional Medical Center.
10:50 a.m.: The ambulance and paramedics from Events EMS responded to a medical emergency on Gorwin Drive. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Natick.
11:54 a.m.: Deputy Jim Moore investigated an alarm activation on Washington Street.
2:10 p.m.: Engine 3 responded mutual aid to Sherborn for a fire on Washington Street.
5:55 p.m.: The ambulance responded to a medical alarm on Chamberlain Street. The alarm had been activated accidentally.
