Gymnastics Event Raises Funds for Playground Project
Miller School playground project inches closer to its goal.
Over 100 children tumbled, jumped and swung during a fundraiser that benefited the playground renovation fund, hosted at Elite Gymnastics in Ashland.
Parents brought their 2 - 7 year olds to the facility for an hour and a half of open gymnastics. The children had a wealth of gymnastics equipment at their disposal, the fee for which benefited the playground project, bringing in over $1,200.
Representatives from Holliston’s TD Bank branch attended to spread awareness for their partnership with the project. Their “Affinity Program”, which benefits local non-profits, allows customers to choose to have their checking or savings accounts benefit the Miller School project. The Bank will make a donation equal to a percent of the value of those accounts at the end of every year.

The project is expected to cost over $175,000, according to Donald Grey, one of the fund’s coordinators. He hopes to break ground on the new playground by August 2012.
