Holliston Police Log: Indecent Exposure, Stolen Silver

Friday, Aug. 31

7:36 a.m.: A caller reported a dead deer on the side of Washington Street near Village Plaza. The was notified to remove the remains.

8:01 a.m.: Several residents reported a small child walking on Prentice Street. An officer from the checked the area with negative results. Later a resident reported seeing the child get in to a vehicle with a blonde woman.

1:56 p.m.: A caller from Westfield Drive reported that their bicycle had been stolen.

7:05 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of three loose goats on Hollis Street. The officer located the goats and helped the owner retrieve them.

7:29 p.m.: A person reported that their bicycle was stolen from around 5 p.m.

9:13 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of people in. The officer spoke with children who lived at a nearby residence and were playing hide and seek.

Saturday, Sept. 1

12:39 a.m.: A resident of Oak Street reported a loud barking dog. When an officer checked the area the barking had stopped.

12:54 a.m.: An officer reported several mailboxes had been knocked down in the area of Oak and Underwood streets.

7:46 a.m.: An officer issued a citation for a crosswalk violation at 841 Washington St.

3:07 p.m.: A caller reported ATVs traveling on the railroad tracks near Hopping Brook Road. Possibly heading to the sand pits. An officer checked the area and did not find any disturbances.

7:44 p.m.: An officer spoke to a motorist who was reportedly driving erratically. The person said they were overtired. The officer advised them to not drive under such conditions.

8:01 p.m.: A caller reported a boy on Hollis Street who appeared to be alone and in distress. An officer responded and reunited the boy with his father.

9:36 p.m.: A caller reported that two unknown people at Goodwill Park had yelled her at. She said she believed they might have been smoking marijuana. An officer checked the area but did not find anything.

9:38 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of a crash at the intersection of Goulding Street and Norfolk Street. The vehicle appeared to have come to rest in a wooded area. The father of the operator was on scene and transported the driver to the hospital. A private tow had been called for the vehicle.

Sunday, Sept. 2

8:21 a.m.: An officer responded to a car crash on Prentice Street.

10:09 a.m.: A caller reported ATVs and dirt bikes damaging the rail bed and creating new off-road paths.

12:13 a.m.: A caller from Noel Drive reported that his mailbox had been damaged over the weekend.

3:42 p.m.: A person waked in to the station to discuss a possible restraining order violation. An officer contacted the violator on a recorded phone line and spoke to them about the violation.

5:51 p.m.: A caller from Norfolk Street reported a white box truck that had been in the area for about 15 minutes. An officer responded and spoke to the operator who was moving in to the area.

10:01 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of loud music on Adams street. The officer spoke to people who were having a wedding; they said they would quiet down.

10:36 p.m.: An officer responded to a noise complaint on Washington Street. The officer spoke with many youths and had them disperse. The homeowner and parents were notified of the incident.

 Monday, Sept. 3

11:39 a.m.: An officer requested an ambulance for a bicyclist who had fallen near the intersection of Highland and Washington streets.

4:56 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of a male in his 50s who had removed his bathing suit in the beach area of . The man left the area in a pick-up truck; when he was stopped he was given a summons for indecent exposure

Tuesday, Sept. 4

7:11 a.m.: A caller from Highland Street reported that their neighbor's dog barks each morning starting at 6 a.m. and causes a nuisance.

7:14 a.m.: An officer performed traffic enforcement on Locust Street at a resident’s request. One speeding violation was recorded. The operator was given a verbal warning for traveling 40 mph.

10:34 a.m.: The owner of called to report that 20 pieces of sterling silver had been stolen.

12:21 p.m.: An officer responded to a crash on Central Street. One vehicle was towed.

6:23 p.m.: A caller reported a faulty fire alarm activation but declined a response from the .

6:25 p.m.: A caller reported that a blue pick-up truck had followed him and made threats toward him regarding a road rage incident.

9:16 p.m.: A caller from the Massachusetts State Police reported a cell phone call in which a male could be heard threatening a female. The call was disconnected. Officers from Holliston spoke to officers from Ashland where the resident was from.
