Holliston Police Log: Injured Rabbit, Illegal Dumping

The following information was provided by the Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction. All arrests are reported.

Monday, Aug. 13

12:41 a.m.: A caller reported a car crash on Winter Street. The driver refused medical treatment and the vehicle was towed.

6:18 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Washington Street and issued a summons to the driver for operating a vehicle with a suspended license.

8:27 a.m.: An officer returned a wallet to its owner.

11:00 a.m.: An officer responded to a report of an injured rabbit on Washington Street.

12:27 p.m.: A caller reported a suspicious man walking near the schools and possibly carrying alcohol. An officer checked the area and the person was picked up by a parent.

1:35 p.m.: A caller from Norfolk Street reported that a black vehicle was parked in front of her house while a man was writing inside.

5:00 p.m.: Officers attempted to deliver a warrant to a resident on Jerrold Street but the person was not home.

11:24 p.m.: A caller from reported that a caller told them about the smell of something burning in the Marshall Street area. An officer responded but could not locate the source of the smell.

Tuesday, Aug. 14

1:24 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Washington Street and issued the operator a summons for speeding and operating without a license. The owner of the vehicle took control to drive home.

8:32 a.m.: An officer notified Verizon about a down wire on Marshall Street near the soccer fields.

12:36 p.m.: An officer secured a door at a house under renovation on Church Street.

1:54 p.m.: A resident went in to  to speak to an officer about a possible drug use problem with her older son.

2:36 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of ATVs being driven on the roadway. The vehicles were gone when the officer arrived.

4:34 p.m.: An employee of a Washington Street business reported an on-going issue of illegal dumping in the area. The dumper’s address was listed on items.

5:59 p.m.: An officer issued a summons for speeding and unlicensed operation on Prentice Street. The officer stood by while a licensed driver arrived.

7:10 p.m.: A caller reported an erratic black Mercedes SUV traveling on Washington Street and entering Milford. The Milford PD was informed.

7:31 p.m.: A caller reported a wire down at the intersection of Washington and Summer streets. The wires in question were for a traffic count.

9:37 p.m.: A resident reported a past assault that occurred on Mill Street. An investigation was ongoing.

10:12 p.m.: A caller reported a suspicious black SUV parked in front of their Underwood Street residence. An officer checked the vehicle and noted that there was a party in the area.
