Holliston Police Log: Larceny, Sick Fox

The following information was provided by the Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction. All arrests are reported.

Monday, Sept. 17

1:04 a.m.: An officer from the Holliston Police Department assisted Medway PD in a search for a 16-year-old male on a bicycle who had been missing for three hours. The boy was found safely.

10:07 a.m.: An officer encountered an erratic driver on Washington Street. Several callers had reported that the vehicle was crossing traffic lanes on its way in to town. The officer spoke with the operator.

11:37 a.m.: A caller from Travis Road reported a sick fox. The animal fled prior to arrival.

2:53 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of larceny on Concord Street. The theft is still under investigation

3:29 p.m.: A caller from Fiske Street reported that a solicitor was giving him a hard time. An officer responded and the solicitor was gone, but a neighbor said they believed the solicitor was registered.

7:58 a.m.: A caller reported kids sitting in the roadway on Franklin Street. An officer advised the caller.

11:05 p.m.: A caller reported several vehicles doing donuts and burnouts in the Holliston High School parking lot. The caller said they left heading southbound on Hollis Street, one of the vehicles was identified as a red pickup truck. An officer was unable to locate the vehicles.

Tuesday, Sept. 18

1:10 a.m.: An officer assisted the Holliston Fire Department with a faulty fire alarm at the high school.

7:04 a.m.: Multiple callers reported a dead deer in the roadway on Concord Street. An officer removed the deer from the road.

9:08 a.m.: An officer responded to a report of a landscaper dumping waste in to a conservation area on Whitney Street. The officer determined the report to be unfounded.

7:09 p.m.: An officer notified NStar of a power outage on Prospect Street.

8:59 p.m.: The high school principal called to request a check of a broken tree near the parent drop-off area. An officer determined that the tree was not a danger to parents but the tree was on the sidewalk.
