K9 units from across the state met at the Holliston Police Department Thursday to receive grants and give demonstrations.

Holliston Police received $5,000 from Vest-a-Dog, a nonprofit group that grants Massachusetts police departments funds to protect their K9 units. 

Police Chief John Moore said he hopes the Holliston Police Department will have the $20,000 needed to start the program in the fall.
