Hopkinton Athlete Headed To Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics
The 2022 Beijing winter games will officially begin Friday with the opening ceremony. Nine Massachusetts athletes will be there.

HOPKINTON, MA — A Hopkinton hockey player will be among the nine athletes competing in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. The opening ceremony will be held Friday, although competitions will begin as soon as Wednesday.
Hopkinton native Sean Farrell, 21, will play for the USA Hockey team. Farrell is a Harvard student and was drafted in 2020 by the Montreal Canadiens NHL team. He also played for the Marlborough-based Boston Jr. Bruins and Minuteman Flames.
The U.S. hockey team will take the ice in the winter games on Feb. 10 in a match versus the China team.
