Hopkinton Police Log: Car Into House, Larceny by Check

The following information was provided by the Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction. All arrests are reported.

Tuesday, July 31

5:10 p.m.: A caller informed the about a car that crashed into a house on Pond Street. The building inspector was called to review the damage before the vehicle was towed away. No injuries were reported.

8:10 p.m.: An officer spoke to a resident of Cedar Street about a possible larceny by check.

10:57 p.m.: A caller reported a tree limb on Cross Street blocking part of the road. An officer determined that the road was still passable and marked the branch off with cones. The was notified the next morning.

Wednesday, Aug. 1

2:39 p.m.: The responded to a flipped over hydro seeding trailer on West Main Street. An officer also responded and requested a heavy-duty tow to pull the trailer back on to its wheels.

3:19 p.m.: An officer assisted the Fire Department with an oil tanker that was smoking heavily on the side of West Main Street.

5:04 p.m.: An officer checked on a female who was standing on Fruit Street over the railroad bridge.
