Hopkinton Police Log: Drunken Driving, Drug, Assault Arrests

The following information was provided by the Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction. All arrests are reported.

Thursday, Aug. 2

1:52 a.m.: A caller reported what appeared to be a group of six people outside . Officers checked the area but only found one person.

3:25 p.m.: Units followed up on the previous incident and stopped a vehicle in front of where they arrested Joyce Lynn Alexander, 25, of 44 Ash St. She was charged with disorderly conduct, assault and battery on a police officer and three counts of assault and battery on ambulance personnel. James B. Mullin, 22, of 4 Norfolk Ave., Medway was also arrested. He was charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and threatening to damage a church.

8:47 a.m.:  responded to a 2-car crash on Hayden Rowe Street. One person was taken to the hospital.

2:25 p.m.: A person went to the station to report a potential case of identity theft.

3:45 p.m.: Christine L. Manjourides, 18, of 15 East Main St. turned herself in for arrest on warrant charges of assault and battery.

5:23 p.m.: A caller reported a speeding construction vehicle on Teresa Road. A detail officer in the area spoke to the operator.

5:38 p.m.: A caller reported a road rage incident where a vehicle pulled in front of him before stopping and yelling. Officers were unable to find the vehicle.

8:33 p.m.: A caller reported an aggressive and erratic driver on Grove Street. Officers responded but were unable to find the vehicle. They notified the Milford Police Department.

Friday, Aug. 3

1:19 a.m.: An officer stopped a car at the intersection of Church and West Main for speeding. The officer arrested Aishlinn Anne Murphy, 23, of 92 Roosevelt Ave., Norwood on charges of speeding and drunken-driving.

7:43 a.m.: A caller from Hayden Rowe Street reported an animal that had been stuck in a trashcan all night. Two officers responded and released a pair of raccoons that had been trapped.

12:14 a.m.: A caller from Saddle Hill Road reported that they thought someone had tried to gain access in to their house. An officer responded and took a report.

5:18 p.m.: An officer assisted after a “very minor” car crash on Hayden Rowe Street.

6:45 p.m.: A caller reported that a person was seen throwing cans out of their car on route 85 in Milford near the Hopkinton Line.

7:02 p.m.: An officer checked the Granite Street area after reports of boats in the water on Echo Lake.

9:05 p.m.: A caller reported a large animal in the roadway near the starting line on Main Street. An officer checked the area and found a stuffed animal.

11:28 p.m.: An officer stopped a car on the on-ramp to 495 north and arrested Katherine L. Fisher, 41, of 11 Senate Rd., Milford for failure to signal and drunken-driving.

Saturday, Aug. 4

1:30 a.m.: A caller from Emerson Way reported the sound of either gunshots or fireworks somewhere in the area. An officer responded and checked the area but it was quiet.

3:26 a.m.: A caller reported a vehicle swerving in all three lanes of 495 northbound and getting off at exit 21 A. An officer located the vehicle and stopped it on Cedar Street. Javier Ramos, 19, of 124 Water St., Leominster was arrested. He was charged with possession of liquor by a person under 21, possession of a class D substance with intent to distribute, drunken driving and an open container violation among other charges.

12:20 p.m.: A detail officer reported that they had to shut down the hazardous waste dump after a person got upset and threatened to throw their garbage in the woods. An officer responded and spoke to the person who said they would not be throwing it in the woods.

3:19 p.m.: The owner of an establishment on Hayden Rowe Street reported receiving a threat.

3:51 p.m.: An officer spoke to a resident of Saddle Hill Road who was receiving threatening phone calls.

4:40 p.m.: An officer spoke to the operator of a vehicle who had reportedly been all over the road and nearly hit a tree.

Sunday, Aug. 5

12:27 a.m.: A caller reported a loud party on Hayward Street. Officers responded and spoke with the host who said they would quiet down.

9:29 a.m.: A caller from Mayhew Street found a dog and said she would hold on to it until the owner was determined.

10:42 a.m.: An officer assisted with a lockout on Grove Street.

12:08 p.m.: An officer checked on a disabled military vehicle on West Main Street. The operator was able to move it in to the church parking lot.

1:42 p.m.: A caller reported that her grill was on fire on her deck.
