Hopkinton Police Log: Stolen Beer, Identity Fraud Arrest
The following information was provided by the Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction. All arrests are reported.

Friday, Aug. 10
12:03 a.m.: A 911 caller reported a vehicle on its side on Cross Street. responded and assisted with the crash, which was in Ashland.
1:56 a.m.: An officer spoke with youths in several occupied vehicles on Wood Street.

8:23 a.m.: A person from Legacy Farms reported vandalism to the sign at the entrance to Legacy Farms South. An officer responded and observed a trail of anti-freeze from the sign to Wilson Street. The officer investigated a tow that occurred in that area.
9:15 a.m.: A caller from the reported a small black dog running around in the area. The caller said the believed the dog lived nearby.

2:32 p.m.: A caller reported a 2-car crash on Ash Street. No injuries were reported but one car was towed. A written warning was given to one driver for failure to use car in stopping, the other driver was given a written warning for operating without a license.
Saturday, Aug. 11
9:09 a.m.: A caller reported a limb on the wires on Exchange Street. An officer confirmed the location and notified NStar.
5:30 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of a large branch in the roadway on Spring Street. The officer said the branch was ok for the time being but notified the DPW.
10:29 p.m.: A 911 caller reported a smoke alarm issue. The handled the incident.
Sunday, Aug. 12
12:35 a.m.: An officer found a campfire that was still burning on Fruit Street. The officer reported that the fire was contained and it appeared as if the people were long gone.
4:46 a.m.: An officer transported one person to the Milford line after he was found walking on West Main Street.
10:40 a.m.: A caller reported that kids having a car wash on Hayden Rowe Street were to close to the road. An officer responded and said that the youths had packed it up for the day.
8:39 p.m.: A caller reported fireworks at a possible vacant house on Blackthorne Road. An officer responded bit didn’t find anything.
Monday, Aug. 13
12:24 a.m.: Officers arrested Silas Dias Goncalves, 27, of 16 Green St., Milford. Goncalves faces six charges including unlicensed operation of a vehicle, speeding, falsely applying for a registration, refusal to self identify, identity fraud and possession of a false/stolen RMV document.
9:55 a.m.: A caller from South Street reported that a telephone pole was on fire. While on the call she was told that it was no longer on fire. An officer responded to evaluate the pole.
1:53 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of a possible crash or disabled vehicle on Cedar Street. The vehicle was disabled but the operator was able to fix the problem.
5:02 p.m.: An officer investigated the larceny of beer from a Colella's Supermarket.
