Hopkinton Police Log: Two Arrests, Dog Attack

Thursday, Sept. 6

6:10 a.m.: An officer responded to the  while the polls were open.

8:09 a.m.: An officer responded to a car crash on West Main Street. One vehicle was towed but no injuries were reported.

10:12 a.m.: A resident of Frankland Road reported a complaint regarding the school bus situation.

12:15 p.m.: A resident of Lakeshore Drive reported a past hit and run crash.

2:44 p.m.: Larceny was reported from a South Street location.

5:08 p.m.: A caller from Pleasant Street reported that her neighbor’s dog attacked her dog. The woman was advised to report the incident to 

7:28 p.m.: An officer spoke to vehicle owners who were attending a football team dinner on Front Street. The vehicles were moved because they were causing a traffic hazard.

7:34 p.m.: A caller from Chestnut Street reported that she had found a loose pit-bull on East Main Street with no tags. She brought the dog home and notified Animal Control.

8:08 p.m.: Officers stopped a vehicle on West Main Street and arrested the passenger, Stephen A. Ceruti, 22, of 6 Village Green Ln., Natick. Ceruti had warrants out for two counts of breaking and entering, two counts of class B drug possession, four counts of class E drug possession, three counts of larceny over $250 and two counts of receiving stolen property over $250. The vehicle operator was also given a citation for operating with a suspended license.

Friday, Sept. 7

7:03 a.m.: An officer spoke with a woman collecting recyclables on Hayden Rowe Street.

4:58 p.m.: A caller reported a crash on Hayden Rowe Street and reported no injuries. When an officer arrived an ambulance was requested to transport one person to the hospital. The vehicle involved was towed.

7:42 p.m.: A caller from Ash Street reported a stolen political sign.

8:41 p.m.: An officer spoke to a person putting up Jimmy Fund Walk signs on East Main Street.

8:54 p.m.: Officers responded to a motor . No injuries were reported.

10:58 p.m.: Officers responded to a crash on East Main Street and arrested Michael A. Torosian Jr., 19, of 26 East View Rd. Torosian is charged with possession of liquor by a minor, marked lanes violation, speeding, operating with a suspended license, drunken-driving and reckless operation

Saturday, Sept. 8

12:58 a.m.: Officers assisted the state police with a crash on route 495.

9:30 a.m.: An officer checked a vehicle at Thayer Heights and advised the owner that there was an issue with his driver’s license.

10:27 a.m.: An officer spoke with two hitch hikers on West Main Street. They reported that their vehicle had broken down.

12:27 p.m.: an officer responded to a report of a downed wire on Main Street. The wire was a phone wire and therefore not a safety hazard.

1:00 p.m.: An officer spoke to a female who was sitting close to the roadway on Wood Street.

4:44 p.m.: An officer spoke to two solicitors on Blueberry Lane and advised them of the town bylaws and penalties.

4:50 p.m.: A 911 caller reported that she was being tailgated on Hayden Rowe Street. The caller was advised to let the vehicle pass her.

6:32 p.m.: A caller from Hayden Rowe Street reported a possibly intoxicated male banging on her door. An officer spoke to the individual who turned out to be a solicitor.

7:58 p.m.: An officer spoke to a solicitor on Wood Street and issued them a written warning for bylaw violation.

Sunday, Sept. 9

1:08 a.m.: An officer responded to new vandalism behind a building on South Street. Two vehicles were observed in the area.

8:52 a.m.: A caller from Wood Street reported overnight vandalism.

11:52 a.m.: An officer responded to assist with a call on Parkwood Drive.

2:44 p.m.: A caller reported a tree limb hanging over the road on Wood Street. An officer responded and reported that the limb did not appear to pose an “imminent threat” but the message was passed on to the Department of Public Works.

4:16 p.m.: A caller reported returning home from vacation to find a pile of beer cans in her yard.

5:18 p.m.: A caller reported a loud jet ski in the Downey Street area.

5:40 p.m.: A caller reported a motorboat on the reservoir at 

8:43 p.m.: Multiple callers reported a 911 call on the Mass. Pike. An ambulance responded.
