Hopkinton Police Log: Stolen Obama Sign, Halloween Vandalism
The following information was provided by the Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction. All arrests are reported.

Thursday, Oct. 25
1:32 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on West Main Street and arrested Jeffrey S. Roberts, 40, 110 Shore Dr., Plymouth. Roberts was charged with second offense drunken-driving and drinking alcohol from an open container in a car.
6:02 a.m.: A caller reported hearing a back-up alarm on a vehicle at Legacy Farms. An officer responded and spoke to a driver who was delivering porta-potties.

8:37 a.m.: An officer assisted with bus evacuation drills at Center School.
10:31 a.m.: A caller reported people dumping debris in to the woods on Hayward Street. An officer spoke to the people who owned the property.

11:11 a.m.: A caller reported a dog that had been stuck by a car on East Main Street.
2:29 p.m.: Officers responded to a car vs. telephone pole crash on Hayden Rowe Street.
4:09 p.m.: A caller from Edge Hill Road reported finding a backpack with drugs and alcohol in it in a ditch. An officer responded and took possession of the backpack.
8:43 p.m.: A caller reported a suspicious vehicle on Elizabeth Road. The caller said the vehicle had been parked there for 15 minutes. Officers were unable to find the vehicle.
Friday, Oct. 26
12:21 a.m.: A caller reported a pickup truck with flashers on on Cedar Street. An officer responded and spoke to the operator who was out of gas.
6:31 a.m.: An officer removed a dead deer from one of the ramps to Route 495.
7:35 a.m.: A caller from East Main Street reported that money was stolen from his vehicle overnight.
10:19 a.m.: A caller from Chamberlain Street reported a suspicious vehicle parked in front of her house. The vehicle belonged to a contractor who was working across the street.
11:21 a.m.: A caller from C Street reported that his GPS was stolen out of his car.
11:56 a.m.: A caller reported that she was just rear ended on Wood Street. One vehicle was towed.
1:47 p.m.: A caller from Blackthorne Road reported that a woman had just walked in to her house and said that she was there to clean. The caller had the woman leave but she returned after wandering the neighborhood. An officer responded and spoke to the woman who had gotten separated from her cleaning crew.
2:59 p.m.: A 911 caller reported a crash on West Main Street. An officer responded and took a report.
4:16 p.m.: A caller reported that a resident of Lumber Street had a new pool installed and it was filled with water before a fence was installed. An officer responded and noted that the pool was not full of water and all the permits were in line.
5:43 p.m.: Multiple callers reported a pig running loose on East Main Street. Officers responded and were able to place the pig back in its pen.
9:52 p.m.: A caller reported a loud party on Wild Road. An officer spoke with youths at the party and told them to quiet down.
Saturday, Oct. 27
11:05 am.: A caller reported that an Obama-Biden sign had been stolen from their lawn on Clinton Street.
12:28 p.m.: A resident of Donna Pass reported a past residential break-in.
3:51 p.m.: A caller reported a tree and limbs hanging on the electric wires on Spring Street.
5:14 p.m.: A caller from a West Main Street business reported a credit card fraud.
8:30 p.m.: Multiple 911 callers reported a car that crashed in to a telephone pole on Main Street. Multiple officers responded with the ambulance. Robin E. Winchell, 46, of 2875 Providence Rd., Northbridge was arrested. She was charged with marked lanes violation and second offense drunken-driving.
9:18 p.m.: A caller from Colella Farm Road reported smashed pumpkins and other Halloween acts of vandalism.
9:35 p.m.: A caller from Davis road reported a suspicious man that just entered her home and then apologized for entering the wrong apartment. An officer spoke with the man.
Sunday, Oct. 28
12:31 a.m.: Officers from the Hopkinton Police Department assisted another local department with a large fight involving a knife.
7:12 a.m.: A caller from Leons Way reported a suspicious motor vehicle. The caller said a male got out of the vehicle but quickly got back in and drove away when the caller approached the door.
11:39 a.m.: Officers responded to a crash on South Street. No injuries were reported.
