Hopkinton Raising Funds for Boston Victims with Custom Tees
The T-shirts will feature a design reminiscent of the sympathy banner hung on Hopkinton Town Common.
Hopkinton is putting a personal touch on a T-shirt that will be sold to raise money for victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.
The Hopkinton Marathon Committee is coordinating sales of the specialty T's, to benefit One Fund Boston.Â
The grey T-shirts have a design that features the Boston Marathon starting line on the front, with a statement on the back: "With you at the start, with you at the finish, with you forever. The people of Hopkinton send love to all those impacted by the attacks of 4/15/13."

The T-shirts will cost $20, with the proceeds going to One Fund Boston. They are being sold at Colella's Supermarket.
In a press release, Dorothy Ferriter-Wallace, chairperson of the Hopkinton Marathon Committee, said the attacks in Boston had closely affected town residents in Hopkinton.

“The Hopkinton Marathon Committee immediately wanted to show support for the victims with the banner," she said, in the statement. "Now, through the T-shirt sales, we will send tangible monetary support to the victims. The T-shirts also demonstrate Hopkinton’s pride as the starting point of the Boston Marathon and show that the race will go on.”
The 118th Boston Marathon will take place on April 21, 2014.
