Holliston High's football season came to an end last night with a loss to Concord - Carlisle.

In a contest that was undecided with 30 seconds remaining, the Panthers' season was stopped one step short of the Superbowl by a determined Concord - Carlsile team.

Dan Barone moved the ball down the field through the air with long passes while coach Todd Kiley employed no-huddles and misdirection to keep the Patriots on their heels.

But CC's George Craan proved to be an unstoppable force, scoring 4 touchdowns with 220 yards on 35 carries.

The Panthers tried for an on-side kick with 30 seconds remaining in the game, but the Patriots recovered for a 32- 27 final score.

"When I think back on the season I will remember how proud I was of those kids, and how hard they all worked all year," Kiley said.
