Rabid Fox, Large Turtle and Illegal Tarantula Reported in Hopkinton

Monday, June 3

8:53 a.m.: A caller from Alexander Road reported that an oil painting was stolen during an open house over the weekend.

3:11 p.m.: A 911 caller from Pine Tree Lane reported a fox in the area that possibly has rabies. The call was relayed to the Animal Control Officer.

3:33 p.m.: An officer assisted the Milford Police Department with a case of illegal possession of a tarantula on South Street.

5:22 p.m.: An officer assisted the Department of Conservation and Recreation with a large snapping turtle attempting to cross Cedar Street.

Tuesday, June 4

12:28 a.m.: A caller reported the sound of loud noises in the Fruit Street. Area. An officer spoke with a work crew who said they will be working on the Mass. Pike and Route 495 interchange for the next week.

7:14 a.m.: An officer assisted the Hopkinton Fire Department with a fire alarm on Wilson Street.

11:14 a.m.: An officer assisted the fire department with a medical emergency in a motor vehicle on West Main Street at Route 495.

4:37 p.m.: A detail officer reported a small mulch fire at EMC on south Street.

5:31 p.m.: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Hayden Rowe Street. Virgilio Lema-Loja, 38, of 105 Winter St., Framingham was arrested and charged with unlicensed operation and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

11:40 p.m.: A caller reported a possible underage drinking party on Rocky Woods Road. An officer checked the party but no violations were observed.
