Just after 8 this morning officers from the and responded to a car crash involving a teen driver at the intersection of Washington and Highland Streets. Police said the 17-year-old was turning right on red from Highland on to Washington Street westbound when a car traveling through the green light clipped her front end. Initial scanner reports said the teen was hospitalized with head injuries however an officer on the scene said the female was taken in as a precaution for observation and had no visible signs of injury. The second vehicle was able to drive off from the scene.
