To say that it needs to be torn down is coming from someone who doesn't know anything about the property or the codes and the restrictions the owners need to work within. In case people haven't noticed our economy has changed since they originally purchased both homes a few years ago. Real Estate is still a struggle and obviously the banks aren't lending like they once did. Instead of bashing the owners you should be thankful for their desire to purchase these run down homes and help rebuild our community. As for the "Keep Out" sign, that was done in jest for Halloween. In due time this home will be repaired and will have a lovely new family living in it and it will be as beautiful as the home that they have already remodeled and poured their heart and soul into.
My name is Doug Schmidt and they are my dear friends and I was the realtor who worked with them to purchase these run down properties.
