At 11:30 this morning the Hopkinton Police and Fire Departments responded to a report of a crash on Ash Street. According to the officer in charge, a dump truck was the only vehicle involved in the crash. The driver transported to the hospital for evaluation. As the truck careened in to the woods it broke several trees, hitting its driver-side saddle tank on one tree and cracking it. Responders were able to contain the spill within a short amount of time. Due to the amount of broken limbs and trees a tow company had to wait for a tree-cutting service to free the vehicle before it could be pulled from the woods.
