Two Arrested After Holliston Break-In

A male and female worked to lure the elderly homeowner away of her house.

On Oct. 1, an elderly woman from 66 Shaw Farm Rd. reported a suspicious incident in which a woman who appeared to be distressed knocked on her door and asked to use her bathroom. Later in the day that same woman returned, broke in and stole the homeowners jewelry.

According to Holliston Police Chief John Moore, the homeowner had hired a man to do some work around her house. The man allegedly called her from Medway saying that he was out of gas and needed her assistance.

The chief said that the break-in occurred while the homeowner was out helping the man.

The male and female were arrested last week. Moore said the two were working together to get the woman out of her house.

Both arrests were made out of town, but Holliston Detective Charles Todd lead the investigation.

The female involved was also reportedly part of a break-in where she stole a loaded handgun.

"These two people knew what they were doing," Moore said.

Break-ins are up all around the area and residents who see anything suspicious are invited to call the Holliston Police Department with anything that seems out of place.
