Shooting Near High School Leaves Student Injured
A 16-year-old was shot in the leg outside John D. O'Bryant High School.

Police in Boston are investigating after one high school student was shot near John D. O’Bryant High School Monday afternoon.
According to police, the shooting took place in the area of 55 Malcolm X Boulevard.
The victim, 16, was identified as a student at the nearby Madison Park Technical Vocational High School. The student suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, police said. Emergency responders transported the student to Children’s Hospital for treatment.

The high school went into “shelter-in-place” mode following the incident. James P. Timilty Middle School and Madison Park Technical Vocational High School also implemented safety measures.
It’s unclear if police have identified a suspect.
