2 Cats Found Drowned at Abandoned Boston Construction Site
The cats were found already decomposed in a small pool of water, officials say.

Authorities were alerted to two drowned cats at an abandoned construction site in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood after neighbors say the stench coming from the area was overwhelming.
The cats were found already decomposed in a small pool of water in a fenced-off area, the Animal Rescue League of Boston told WCVB.
Officials are greatly concerned about the discovery because cats don’t willing go into water.

“I think they threw them in there alive to drown them,” Animal Rescue League Lt. Alan Borgal said of the possible suspects.
Investigators were unable to determine how long the cats were in the water.

The neighborhood in which the cats were found is said to be home to many pet-friendly residents. Investigators believe the individual responsible for the act is from outside of the area.
