Marathon experience: 2012 Boston

Reason for running: A chance to work out with friends and family while raising funds and awareness for a great cause. It doesn’t hurt that the Boston Marathon is the best and the people cheering you on are amazing. Boston Strong.

Charity: Mass-Care

Training tip: It is hard to not do, but I have found that giving high-fives takes a lot of energy so I save mine up for the end (or for when I need a little more encouragement along the way). Also, I think that a big dinner two nights before is just as important as the big dinner the night before, but those are just my thoughts (not science).
