Boston PD Superintendent Accepts New Position in Seattle
Robert Merner led the Bureau of Investigative Services in Boston and will assume a similar role in Washington.

Superintendent Robert Merner, a 30-year veteran of the Boston Police Department, was introduced and named Assistant Chief of Police by Seattle Police Chief Kathleen O’Toole on Wednesday, Boston PD reported.
“There’s no doubt in my mind that our loss will be Seattle’s gain,” said Commissioner William Evans about the move. “Superintendent Merner will be a tremendous asset and addition to the Seattle Police Department.”
