The individual later turned it over to health officials.The bat was taken taken to a laboratory for testing Tuesday. Results came back positive for rabies.Officials say the man needs to undergo "preventative treatment against rabies" and should contact the commission or his doctor immediately.Those who may have any information on the individual are urged to contact the Boston Public Health Commission at 617-534-5611.
