Get full details of this month's event, set to be held right before July 4 weekend.

It's a new month in Jamaica Plain, and that means JP Centre/South Main Streets is gearing up for its monthly "First Thursday" program.

In addition to the event's regular Art Walk, the program, set for Thursday, July 3, will include a cash mob to be held at FoMu Ice Cream, 617 Centre St. in Jamaica Plain at 7 p.m. Those who take part are asked to spend a minimum of $10 to $20 cash.

Thursday's program will also include a showing of "The Little Mermaid" as part of the regular "Screen on the Green" series that takes place at the Loring-Greenough House, 12 South St.
