Police from Jamaica Plain's E-13 district will brief the community and answer questions tonight following a fatal shooting in Hyde Square over the weekend. District 6 City Councilor Matt O'Malley told Patch that representatives of the local police district will answer any questions citizens may have at O'Malley's annual Town Hall meeting, taking place tonight at the Connolly Branch Library beginning at 6:30. A man was shot to death on Minden Street Sunday night before 8:30 p.m., according to police. The fatal shooting is the latest and most serious in a string of crimes to take place in JP so far in 2013. At the end of February, victims were robbed at gunpoint in the Pondside neighborhood, and there were a smattering of break-ins in March.
