Walczak of Dorchester Enters Race for Mayor

Bill Walczak co-founded the Codman Square Health Center, as well as the Codman Academy Charter Public School.

 

Longtime community organizer Bill Walczak announced that he is running for Boston mayor, adding his name to the growing list of candidates.

Walczak co-founded the Codman Square Health Center in Dorchester, and is currently the president of the Codman Academy Charter Public School, which he also founded, according to the Boston Globe.

Walczak, spoke to the Globe about the candidates: “We have a really good group of candidates, they’re all really good people,” Walczak said. “It’s going to be a sprint, and I look forward to the discussions we’re going to have about the future of the city.” 

He is also the vice president at Shawmut Design and Construction, where he has represented the company before government and community groups.
